INTRODUCTION Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA) Management & Operating Contractor of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) owned Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from qualified vendors to provide refurbishment services for the Fiber Dial Room and implement point-to-point fiber connectivity upgrades. This initiative supports BEA’s commitment to maintaining robust and reliable communications infrastructure across INL facilities. BACKGROUND The Fiber Dial Room requires refurbishment and modernization to support enhanced fiber optic connectivity and point-to-point communication capabilities. The scope of work may include the following: Remove legacy abandoned communication cables around the plant. Refurbishment of several Fiber Dial Rooms around TAN, including structural and environmental improvements and replacement of hardware. Installation and testing of new fiber and communications. Installation and configuration of point-to-point fiber connections. Integration with existing network infrastructure and systems. Compliance with DOE cybersecurity, safety, and operational standards. Testing and documentation to ensure full functionality and reliability.
